Halloween Tree

A heavy fog rolled through and it felt as if we were in a dream.

Visibility worsened as a silent field of tombstones appeared around the bend. As we got out of the car, we sank into the damp grass as we walked the cemetery and saw its branches reach for the sky. Fog loomed in the distant field while we looked closely at the graves. The tombs marked the place of husband and wife who passed; 1882 and 1891.
