The Rachel Carson Bridge Pittsburgh

Some Pitt buddies and I witnessed the beautiful lighting display of the Rachel Carson Bridge.

The rainbow illumination called “Energy Flow” lighting combines meteorology, environmentalism and art. It’s impressively fueled by 16 wind turbines that power the 26,000 LED lights.

It’s hard to tell from the photo but the lights move in a patterned sequence, changing by the speed and direction of the wind.
