The Mudhouse Mansion in Lancaster, Ohio is one of the most famous now demolished abandonments in the state and is subject to many rumors of haunting. Local legend states that an ex government official lived there after the Civil War and still kept slaves (yes even in the North), locking them in one of the outbuildings at night. One night the slave dug his way out, entered the house, and slaughtered the entire family. (Forgotten Ohio)

All I know is that I was thoroughly creeped out in mid day, running through tall weeds and field to get my shot.
