Running Down a Dream

Over the past year, I’ve been considering what it would take to combine my passions into a different career path. A job in a helping field, in a place where I could also take my photography to a higher level. I realized I’d have to leave a solid and comfortable position at CWRU to take that chance.

So with that, I’ve accepted a teaching contract in Shenzhen, China (right by Hong Kong) and will be gone from the US for almost a year. Along with teaching English, I’ll have the opportunity to travel across Southeast Asia; with Japan, Vietnam and Thailand at the top of the list. I plan on working on photojournalism and storytelling during my travels.
It’s definitely going to be sad leaving my family and my friends for awhile but this can only open other opportunities in the future.
So starting next week, this site will have more Asia themed photos but I’ll be sprinkling in some States photos as I’m certain I’ll be missing it. Thank you all for your continued support of my photography. You are greatly appreciated.
