Our first day in Sax Zim Bog in Minnesota brought us 5 Great Gray owls, 2 Boreal owls and 21 other species of birds! Have about 2,000 photos to go through from one day of shooting.

To top off our wonderful birding day, the Aurora started to pop off on our drive home! The brief substorm even gave us some defined pillars shown here.

Northern MN is an outdoorsman’s paradise and we have a full day to go today.

It’s fun sharing it with some new friends in @bsbobird . There are some expert birders in this group that make the experience so enjoyable.
