Hi! My name is Matt Shiffler and I love to make great photographs and have a positive impact on other’s lives. I am a professional photographer and gallery owner in Cleveland where I freelance for Great Lakes Publishing and the Plain Dealer.
Growing up an avid fisherman, my photography evolved from my love of nature and the outdoors. My photographs focus on the beauty of the Midwest and capturing the humanity of all different types of people. I love to teach through photography and through social media, I am able to bring people on my travels that otherwise may not be able to.
Within the last few years, I made the difficult decision to quit my full time police position and take a chance on myself and my passion for photography. In 2017, I moved to Shenzhen, China and had the best year of my life teaching English and photographing across Southeast Asia. When I returned home, I was lucky enough to be hired by some of the best magazines and newspapers in Cleveland and am very grateful for my opportunities. I opened a gallery in Waterloo Arts District and love to make new friends if you wanted to stop by at Matt Shiffler Photography, 16101 Waterloo Rd, Cleveland, OH.
Please feel free to send me a message with assignments, events or portraiture at firstname.lastname@example.org

“Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
