Sleepwalking on the Moon

At the risk of trying something a little different, sometimes the plans you create don’t work out as expected. I had arranged a lunar sequence shot focused on a lone tree in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but when I arrived a few hours early, I discovered the area overgrown and far less scenic than I remembered. Oops! It was time for a backup plan.

As I searched for different compositions, I started to shoot through the tree canopy, which I liked. Experiencing the lunar eclipse with my long-time friend Doug while hiking at 3:30 am under the blood moon was an unforgettable experience.
