One of those surreal photography experiences that is forever engrained in my mind as we sat on the tip of a Vermont ledge in peak autumn, watching the sun set over Nichols Pond. Vermont’s quiet and never-ending beauty puts it near the top for the best state I’ve ever visited. This star trail effect is caused by the Earth spinning on its axis.
