Man amongst the fireflies

Standing amongst the Chinese lantern fireflies at the Kellettville Firefly Farm is magical.

Fleeting moments like this in nature and the adventure pursuing them is my favorite part of travel and photography.

It was a welcome respite from recent tension headaches-they’ve returned with a vengeance this month, between trying to close on my first house and overworking myself (self inflicted stress). With everything, there is a delicate balance and I still struggle with saying “no” and setting firm work boundaries. If you’ve mastered this, I’m always open to ideas. 

As I pulled into the serenity of Allegheny National Forest, it was fascinating how quickly how the headaches disappeared. Nature can be an amazing elixir at times.
