The largest hot spring in the United States, Grand Prismatic Spring is a vibrant prism of colors – caused by bacteria mixing with mineral rich water.

Measuring around 300 meters across with a water temperature of 160 degrees, Grand Prismatic among other springs in the park are lethal to humans.

Yellowstone as a whole is one of the most dangerous national parks and 22 deaths are attributed to boiling hot springs within park limits.
